The letter below has been sent by ASH in support of a funding request for an initiative entitled The Next Way. The Next Way proponents have indicated that the first phase of programming will support the engagement of New Canadians, specifically newcomer women and new voters, specifically youth ages 18-30. They state that The Next Way “will co-create safe virtual spaces and increased capacity for transformative dialogue on issues of concern so that these constituency members can be supported in realizing, claiming, and exercising their civic rights, responsibilities and personal agency as members of the greater Ottawa community”.
