Sandy Hill’s One & Only Arts & Crafts Fair + Good Books Sale – 2024

November 16 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm EST

The One & Only Arts and Crafts Fair will once again be held in Sandy Hill on Saturday, November 16, 2024. This is a community-led event for shoppers who come to purchase Christmas gifts for friends and family.

Free admission: light refreshments will be served from 10 am to 2 pm for everyone: shoppers, vendors and volunteers.

This event is hosted by Action Sandy Hill, which is an incorporated, not-for-profit, community association that represents and promotes Sandy Hill and its residents. Funds raised are used to support work in the community by Action Sandy Hill and local youth and arts organizations.

Good Books Sale

The event includes the annual Good Books Sale; selected books to read, keep or share. Book donations would be appreciated. Please email Alan at SandyHillRink24@gmail.com for book donations. Proceeds support literacy programs at Viscount Alexander school. Book sales will be cash only.

Sophie Dufresne Guindon, Mindful Art & Illustration

My art, inspired by the animals of my native land, is intuitive and guided by kind intention. My favorite mediums are watercolor, pencil, collages, and monoprints. Stardust Jewellery and Macrame

Beverly Cummings was born and lives in Ottawa, Canada.  She has previously published poetry in a number of little magazines most recently the online journals The Steel Chisel,  Monday’s Poem, Dead Flowers: A Poetry Rag, Bywords, Angel House Press NationalPoetryMonth.ca and CMHA Saskatchewan Division magazine Transition.  She has been a frequent contributor to The Voice and Open Minds Quarterly.  She has three times placed as an Honourable Mention in Open Minds Quarterly’s annual Brainstorming poetry contest.  She has six self-published chapbooks and a recent chapbook “I Take Off My Disguise” published by The Baton Press and three trade books:  “Destiny-Coincidence”, “Keep it Terse” and “A GOOD DEATH”.

We look for unique products that are:

  • Hand-made – made by the artist or artisan from scratch, for example: the beads on a necklace are hand-made or come from a unique source.
  • Quirky – unusual, interesting, inventive, arty and non-traditional.
  • Good-quality – good value for the price.
