ASH post re 2021 Panda Game after party

ASH statement
ASH is disappointed by the actions of large crowds that gathered in several corridors in our community on Saturday night following the Panda game.
Despite significant efforts by key stakeholders to address this type of behaviour this year, we continue to see extremely disruptive, unsafe, and illegal behaviour associated with post-Panda “celebrations”.
This behaviour is harmful to all residents of the diverse Sandy Hill community. Our residents include young families, seniors, students of the University of Ottawa and alumni, and no one should feel unsafe, intimidated or threatened on a Saturday night in their homes. This behaviour further detracts from the athletic competition and achievement of the game itself.
ASH will be considering all options for the future of Panda. We are committed to consulting with the community, and invite residents to e-mail us at info@ash-acs.ca with their experience and thoughts on the matter, including the potential to cancel the Panda Game for a year to reset expectations.
