Detours on King Edward – First Weekends in May 2013

The University of Ottawa has announced that there will be road closures and related detours which will impact the Sandy Hill Community.

The road closures are as a result of construction needs related to the building of the Advanced Research Complex (ARC). During the road closures, work will be conducted under street-level to connect the new building with existing service tunnels (for heating and electrical systems, etc).

The road closures are on two consecutive weekends, as follows:

Dates:

  • Thursday, May 2, 2013 (7:00 p.m.) to Monday, May 6, 2013 (6:00 a.m.)
  • Friday, May 10, 2013 (7:00 p.m.) to Monday, May 13, 2013 (6:00 a.m.)

Location: King Edward will be closed from Somerset Street East and Templeton Street.

Detour: Traffic will be rerouted onto Henderson Avenue (southbound) and Nelson Street (northbound).

Detour and road closure signs will be installed.

The University regrets any inconvenience the road closures may cause.
