Cristine Erlick was named local volunteer of the year at the ASH Annual General Meeting.
Cristine, a woman of many talents, has been very involved with the Viscount Alexander School and the wider Sandy Hill community. From executive duties on the Viscount parent council, this year as chair – to earth jobs such as watering the 23 new trees in the school playground every day last summer, she can be depended on to work with enthusiasm.
Last year, she repainted murals in the school hallway and this year, she volunteered to get local businesses involved in the May 5 Sandy Hill Spring Clean-up and became involved with the move to get kids active, especially walking to school. She also led an important delegation to the School Board’s Business Committee as part of the school’s effort to have an addition built.
Cristine was presented with a glass dish from artist Eiko Emori, at Designer Glass Studio on Chapel Street.
